Toyota has confirmed the recall of another 270,000 cars due to a suspected engine fault.
The recall, which will affect the UK, includes the high-end Lexus and the popular Toyota Crown.
The company says a potential problem with their valve springs could cause the vehicles to stall.
No actual accidents have been reported.
Some 3,200 Lexus vehicles in the UK were involved, a spokesperson said, but no Toyotas.
Last year, Toyota made global headlines when it recalled in excess of eight million vehicles due to suspected issues with their accelerator pedals.
It was fined $16 million (£10.6 million) in the US and is still facing more than 200 lawsuits related to the issue.
Last week, it was reported that US electric car maker Tesla Motors has raised $226 million (£150 million) from investors, including Toyota.
Toyota invested $50 million in the company in return for a 2.5 per cent stake. It hopes that Tesla’s electric battery expertise will help the company repair its reputation after its recent recalls.
