What is a Fuel Card?

A fuel card is very similar to a credit card; each fuel card has a set network of sites around the UK at which your fuel card can be used.

The fuel cards range from branded networks such as Shell (which gives you access to all Shell sites nationwide) or Esso (which gives you access to all Esso sites nationwide)through  to multi-branded networks such as Texaco Fastfuel (all Texaco & Morrisons sites as well as around 300 other sites nationwide).


Your company would hold an account with ourselves, on this account you can have as many or as few individual fuel cards as you need; for example if you have 4 cars you might want one card per vehicle with the vehicle registration number printed on each card, alternatively you might have 3 members of staff that use company vehicles and so would require 3 cards printed with their names on.


Once you have your fuel cards, you simply fill up at one of the sites on our network, present the fuel card to the cashier who will process the transaction. We will then send you an invoice once a week (for the previous week’s transactions from all cards) and take the payment for this invoice 7 days later by direct debit.


Our invoices are itemised showing where & when each transaction took place along with the quantity of litres bought and the price charged for those litres. These invoices are HMRC VAT approved making your administration simpler and eliminating the need for receipts.

Which fuel card is best for you?

Each company is different, we understand this and so have a wide variety of fuel cards available to UK businesses. These vary from Branded to Multi-branded networks and from fixed price to pump prices cards.

The most important factor for most companies choosing a fuel card is network coverage, you need to make sure that there is a site local to base for you to refuel at as well as an adequate network coverage on the routes you travel and nationwide.

The second most important factor is the price for fuel. 4 of our cards offer a fixed weekly rate for diesel and 4 cards run on a pump pricing policy.


The fixed rate cards offer a weekly rate for diesel based on the bulk market, these cards will typically save you 4-5p per litre.

Once you have decided on which fuel card is best, all we need is an application form for your business Click here to apply now. Alternatively we can send you an application form by post, fax or email at your request.


Once we receive your application we will process it for you, this process takes up to 21 days and we will keep in touch throughout this time to inform you of the progress of your application. As soon as you receive your cards through the post they are ready to use, simply distribute them to your drivers and start using them to refuel.
